Black Chickpeas Salad is a healthy, high-protein salad made with Kala Chana, fresh vegetables, and tangy spices. It’s simple, filling, and great as a light meal or snack.
Ingredients
- 1 cup boiled black chickpeas (kala chana)
- ½ cup chopped onion
- ½ cup chopped tomato
- ½ cup chopped cucumber
- 2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves
- 1 green chili (finely chopped, optional)
Seasoning
- ½ tsp Chaat Masala
- ¼ tsp roasted cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- 1–2 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp olive oil (optional)
- Instructions
- Cook the chickpeas
- Soak kala chana overnight.
- Pressure cook for 3–4 whistles until soft.
- Combine ingredients
- In a large bowl add chickpeas, onion, tomato, cucumber, and green chili.
- Season
- Add chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, salt, and lemon juice.
- Mix and serve
